                COMPANY HISTORY

Primary Marketing Systems, Inc., (Now known as LEDtampa) was founded in 1982 by James M. Ullery, President & CEO. In 1971 Mr. Ullery began his career in the industry as an employee of the industry leader who manufactured and marketed Time & Temperature displays as well as message displays. The early 1980's marked the beginning of the technology revolution in the message display industry. One of the new technology's that emerged was the LED display (light emitting diode.) LED technology has indeed made a major impact in many markets for example, transportation, advertising, employee communications, and now in multi-million dollar outdoor sports arenas.

Since 1982 Primary Marketing Systems, Inc. has sold, installed, maintained message displays and custom software solutions. The company has worked with many types of configurations, ranging from a basic one line indoor LED display to 360 degree curved displays with real-time news feeds. No matter what your needs are, Primary Marketing Systems, Inc. has a solution for you.

Message displays can provide you with the ability to capture and display all types of data to include news feeds, flight information, factory automation, train information, and even real time news feeds from the internet. 

May 15th, 2000 marked the first installation of a complete turn key Flight Information Display System (FIDS) integrated with complete Baggage Information Display System (BIDS).

The industry has made remarkable progress since the Millennium.  Today you will find wide acceptance of outdoor LED on-premise Digital Message Displays.  RGB (Full Color) LED digital message displays are now affordable for most business owners.

In September of 2006 Primary Marketing Systems, Inc. changed it marketing name to LEDtampa.   The LED Digital Message Display marketplace is growing rapidly and we are excited about the future of this market.
